lyrics

There's a house on the hilll
with a window burning bright,
but nobody is around.
I'm wand'ring through the Forest of the Night.
William Blake was there.
I saw him standing all alone
against a tree.
I invited him into my home.
We sat down and talked awhile,
o'er a bag of tea and a loaf of bread.
I asked him what it meant to live
and he explained
that I was already dead.

I'm already dead.
I'm already dead.
I'm already dead.
I'm already dead.

O, the hills, they have eyes
and the walls, they have ears,
observing me intently
and preying on my fears.
Scornful laughter fills the air,
condescension all around.
I may not be lost,
but I do not wish to be found.
Once again I asked
the question running through my head,
"What's it mean to live?"
And he explained
that I was already dead.
